Majors Chartered Accountants has a solid 30-year history under the ownership of Malcolm Major who started his practice in the late 1980s. In a move that owes more to evolution than revolution, the next 30 years is looking equally good for Majors under the new ownership of Stewart MacGregor and Amy Sharpless.
Stewart and Amy are both established professionals within the practice and have a long-term goal to build on the company’s solid foundations by applying a programme of ‘progressive professionalism’ to all aspects of the business.
As Stewart explains…
“People expect accountants to have qualified staff, to have all the necessary accreditations and protections in place, to be trustworthy and accountable. But Amy and I see much more than that. We know it takes the right attitude and the right team to take the fear and misconceptions out of accountancy, to make it a positive business tool, not just a regulatory process. We’ve worked hard to get everything we need in place to take care not just of the numbers that matter, but of the people that matter too.”
